Modesto Quarterback Club meets again for lunch, football talk Aug. 29

The Modesto Quarterback Club will convene Monday at noon at Coach’s Corner, 950 E. Oakdale Road, Suite E.

Lunch is $10 and includes a program.

All 10 of the city’s high school football coaches and second-year Modesto Junior College coach Rusty Stivers are expected to speak, providing a preview of their teams’ upcoming contests.

The 10 city high schools are Beyer, Davis, Downey, Enochs, Gregori, Johansen and Modesto of the Modesto Metro Conference; Central Catholic of the Valley Oak League; Modesto Christian of the Trans-Valley League; and Big Valley Christian of the Central California Athletic Alliance.

The Quarterback Club will meet each Monday during the season.
