Pro-Am results are in from PBA West Region tournament
The Pro-Am results from the 11th annual Vanessa Brown Homes PBA West Region have been posted and the checks are ready. Topping the Adult prize list is Eric Hawkins posting a 1,750 total. Hawkins, a 163 average bowler, rolled a 694 set, earned 180 pins handicap and the pros added another 876 for the winning total. He took home $350 for the win.
Lee Almeida finished in the second slot with a 1,739 total. Almeida rolled a 765, earned 144 handicap plus the pros’ 830 for his second place pay-out of $200. Ashley Archinski took third for $140 with her total of 1727. Low-in-the-money was 1677.
In the Senior Division, Norm Wiggins won the title with his 1,782 series. Wiggins scored an 866 plus a 54 handicap and added the pros score of 862. He brought home $250 for the win. Janet Spooner ended in second with a 1,753. She scored a 721, added 156 handicap and the pros gave her 876. Spooner earned $150 for her finish. Ed Blomdahl rounded out the top three with his 1,714 score and earned $115. Low-in-the-money was 1649.
Roman Heath won the youth division and earned a $100 scholarship. Heath had a 900 set, added 27 pins handicap and the pros rolled an 876 to total the winning score of 1,803. Josh Gaddam earned a $50 scholarship for his second place finish. He posted a 739 set, added 87 handicap and 876 for a pros score to total a 1,702. Taking third at a 1,673 was Sara Nassberg. She earned a $35 scholarship.
The team of Max Smith and Marion Roberts won the junior/senior firecracker doubles at McHenry. The pair scored a 1,693 for the win. Youth bowler Smith scored an 848 including a no-tap 300 game, and Roberts added an 845 series. Smith earned a $100 scholarship and Roberts took home $45. Kyle Rosenberg teamed with Mark Cooley to roll a 1,642 and take second place. Youth bowler Rosenberg tallied an 831 and won an $80 and Cooley rolled an 811 and earned $25. Grandfather and granddaughter Faith & Jim Miller finished third at a 1,638. Faith was given a $70 scholarship. Other scholarship winners include Yuki Claudio ($60), Alysa Alcaraz ($50), Joseph Alcaraz ($40), Vivian Serrano ($35) and Ashton Russell ($35). Other no-tap 300 games were rolled by adults Rick Simi and Mike Swickard and Youth – Roman Heath.
The Ladies Trio Team No-Tap Tournament will compete Monday at 9:30am. Check-in is at 9 a.m. This month a potluck will be added and will start at 9 a.m. Call Terry Waring for more information or to sign up at 209 571-2695.

The 67th annual Peach Classic at McHenry has only four weekends of competition left for this year’s run. Squads are Saturday and Sunday at noon, 2:30 and 5 p.m. First place is guaranteed at $2,500, and the total prize fund has a $25,000 guarantee. The tournament has a main prize list that is handicapped, a men’s and women’s scratch series prize list, a men’s and women’s high-game prize list and a 10-game handicap list for bowlers who participate more than once. In two weeks, the Central Valley Senior Bowling Club will be making its way to Manteca Bowl for its monthly tournament. Tournament fees are $40 per event. Guest fees are an additional $10, and they must join for $20 if they cash in in the event. The format for each event starts with four games of qualifying. The top three scorers will participate in a stepladder final round immediately after the qualifying.
