Modesto boxer Gaxiola on tonight’s Cache Creek card

Michael Gaxiola will face Adrian Rodriguez of Oakland in a four-round junior lightweight fight Saturday night at Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks (Yolo County).

It’s part of a six-card fight highlighted by a 10-round IBA middleweight title bout between Paul Mendez of Salinas and Ernesto Berrospe of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Gaxiola is coming off a September four-round decision over Victor Torres of Modesto at the SOS Club.

Gaxiola, listed at 128 pounds, is 2-0 and fights out of Modesto’s Bad To The Bonz boxing gym. Rodriguez is 0-3-1.
