EAT BETTER, MOVE BETTER Seniors 60 years and older are welcome to attend the Eat Better, Move Better Program, a free, short interactive nutrition and physical activity session offered once a week for four weeks. JOHANSEN SPORTS BOOSTERS CLUB The boosters club will hold its 22nd annual Crab Feed and Tri-Tip Dinner on March 5 at the FES Hall, 190 N. Lee, in Oakdale. No-host cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7, including crab, tri-tip, baked potato, salad, bread and dessert. There will be a silent auction, casino and live music. LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSE The City of Modesto offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Title 22 Certification courses for ages 15 and up. Successful completion guarantees two years in lifeguard training, first aid, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, and three years for Title 22. Participants must take a pre-test to qualify for the course. Cost is $300. The next session is during Modesto City Schools spring break, March 28-April 2, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The final session is April 18-28 and consists of eight classes: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All classes are held at Johansen High School, 641 Norseman Ave., Modesto. Lessons include adult and child, preschool, Levels 1 and 2, private and semi-private. Adult Water Exercise is designed to teach stretching and toning muscles using water resistance.
