Dancer, the tournament MVP, scored 31 against Pitman in the second game of the tournament and had 42 in a 69-50 win over San Joaquin Memorial for the championship.
Beyer wasn’t the only Stanislaus District school to win a tournament title. Central Catholic won the El Dorado Gold Dust tournament in Placerville on Saturday night.
After victories over Casa Roble and Tamalpais✔, the Raiders defeated Union Mine 66-49 to take the title.
Cooper Wilson, who scored 12 of his 14 points against Union Mine on three-pointers, was named the tournament MVP. Josh Hamilton had 21 points and seven assists for the champs. Central Catholic’s Peter Hamilton, who scored six against the Diamondbacks, was an all-tournament selection.
Next for the Raiders is a trip to Shingle Springs for the Battle of the Foothills tournament, hosted by Ponderosa.
Beyer, meanwhile, travels to Stockton on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game against Weston Ranch, which lost 81-55 last week to Modesto Christian, the No. 1 preseason team in Northern California, according to Cal-Hi Sports. The Cougars advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III final last season and, after losing to Sierra in the title game, were an at-large choice for the NorCal tournament.
