Davis High to be featured at Community Quarterback Club meeting

The Modesto Community Quarterback Club will hold its weekly meeting Monday at noon at Coach’s Corner, 950 E. Oakdale Road.

A buffet lunch will be served for $10.

The meetings honor one of the city’s 11 teams: Beyer, Big Valley Christian, Central Catholic, Davis, Downey, Enochs, Gregori, Johansen, Modesto, Modesto Christian and Modesto Junior College.

Coaches discuss their team’s previous game and upcoming game and answer questions from the audience. Schools earn points for attendance at meetings and at the end of the season get a share of the club’s proceeds based on the percentage of meetings attended.

This week’s featured team will be Davis, which fell to 1-2 after losing to Los Banos on Friday.
