Indiana Fever Share Fitting Reaction to Caitlin Clark's Historic WNBA Night

Some performances don't need much explanation. They simply leave everyone watching in awe. That's exactly what happened Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where Caitlin Clark turned another nationally televised game into a showcase of everything that has made her one of the biggest stars in basketball.

She scored from deep, attacked the basket, drew fouls and made life easier for everyone around her with another brilliant passing display. By the time the Indiana Fever walked away with a thrilling 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm, Clark had authored one of the greatest individual performances the WNBA has ever seen.

The stat sheet was dominated by milestones, and moments after the final buzzer, the Fever summed it all up with a social media post that perfectly captured the significance of the night.

Fever Celebrate Clark's Historic Performance

Shortly after the win, Indiana posted a graphic celebrating Clark's unforgettable performance.

Alongside the picture, the Fever wrote, "what a performance from Caitlin Clark."

It was a simple reaction, but one that reflected just how extraordinary the night had been.

Clark finished with a franchise-record 45 points and 10 assists, becoming the first player in WNBA history to record at least 40 points and 10 assists in the same game.

She also collected four steals and two blocked shots while shooting 11-for-18 from the floor, 6-for-10 from three-point range and 17-for-19 from the free-throw line.

Records Continued to Fall

Clark's career night included much more than a new scoring record. Her 45 points broke Kelsey Mitchell's previous Indiana Fever franchise record of 38.

Earlier in the game, Clark knocked down her second three-pointer to become the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 career three-pointers.

She reached the milestone in only 74 games, breaking Katie Smith's previous record of 81. The WNBA also celebrated Clark's remarkable night, highlighting her as the first player in league history to produce a 40-point, 10-assist game while recognizing her newest three-point milestone.

A Night Fever Fans Won't Soon Forget

Indiana needed every bit of Clark's brilliance. Seattle refused to go away behind Dominique Malonga's 28 points and 14 rebounds, while Flau'jae Johnson and Awa Fam each added 16 points.

Kelsey Mitchell answered with 30 points for the Fever, giving Indiana one of the most dangerous backcourt combinations in the league.

Still, the night belonged to Clark. She set a franchise scoring record. She became the fastest player to 200 career three-pointers. She authored the first 40-point, 10-assist game in WNBA history. And she led Indiana to another important victory.

The Fever described it as "what a performance." Given everything Clark accomplished in less than 30 minutes on the floor, it would be hard to come up with a more fitting reaction.
