Josh Hart Makes Understandable Admission at Knicks Championship Parade
The New York Knicks secured the franchise’s first NBA title since 1973 with their NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
The Knicks cruised through the 2026 postseason, notching a 16-3 record including a historic 13-game win streak. They took down Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs in five games, recording a 94-90 final score in Game 5.
The Knicks flew back to New York City immediately after their series-clinching win in San Antonio, and have been celebrating ever since. On Thursday morning, the team took to the streets of Manhattan for their championship parade.
At the parade, Knicks veteran Josh Hart told reporters that he’s yet to pay for a meal since his team’s championship vicotry.
“I haven’t paid for a meal yet,” Hart said.

Hart played a significant role in the Knicks’ run to an NBA title, averaging 10.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game throughout the playoffs. He recorded a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double in New York’s Game 5 victory at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center.

Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks in their championship series, averaging a stunning 32.6 points per game. The Finals MVP closed out the series with 45 points in Game 5, becoming the first Knicks player in franchise history to score more than 40 points in an NBA Finals game.
Hart, Brunson and the rest of the 2026 Knicks will be heroes in New York for years to come.
