Myles Garrett Trade May Not be the Rams' Last Big Roster Splash
Already the overwhelming favorite to win Super Bowl LXI following the blockbuster trade for Myles Garrett, the Los Angeles Rams don't need to tinker with their roster any more.
However, Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports believes there's one more move the team could make this offseason that just might send them over the top.
Many were disappointed the Rams didn't add another offensive playmaker like USC's Makai Lemon or Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq with the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, instead using the selection to grab Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson.
But Dajani thinks if the Rams wanted, they could make it up to their fans by signing former All-Pro wideout Stefon Diggs.
"They are a team that’s all-in for a Super Bowl in 2026. Not only did they bolster the secondary with Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, but they also traded for superstar pass-rusher Myles Garrett, who just recorded an NFL-record 23 sacks last season," Dajani wrote.
"The Rams had the No. 1 offense in the league last year with MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford and star wideouts Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Despite that talented room, the Rams showed interest in A.J. Brown earlier this offseason, so they could still be in the market for a new weapon. Diggs isn’t the same player as Brown, but he could join a loaded offense and chase a ring with the Rams. Maybe Aaron Donald comes out of retirement to do the same."
Diggs is still a free agent after being cut from the New England Patriots following an 85-catch, 1,013-yard, four-touchdown season in 2025.
The 32-year-old Diggs has hit the 1,000-yard mark in seven of his last eight seasons. He's not the player he was a few years ago, but with the weapons the Rams already have - Nacua, Adams, Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee - he doesn't need to be.
If Diggs could hover around the 800-to-1,000-yard mark in L.A., the Rams would have arguably the top 1-2-3 WR punch in the NFL.
