Why Is Erling Haaland Not Playing Tonight for Norway vs Sweden?
Norway will play their final game in Norway before they travel to the United States for the World Cup this summer.
Norway will be playing against Sweden at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway. Norway has nearly their full World Cup squad ready to play Sweden today, but they will be without their main striker, Erling Haaland.
Haaland played for Norway during the World Cup qualifiers in Europe and helped his country reach the World Cup for the first time since 1998.
Haaland also played in Norway's last friendly match in March against Switzerland.
Haaland only played 63 minutes against Switzerland in the 0-0 draw that was played during the March international break.
Is Erling Haaland Injured?
Erling Haaland is not injured, and that is not the reason for his absence from the starting lineup or the bench against Sweden today.
Haaland is likely rested before the Norway national team travels to the United States. Norway will have Alexander Sorloth and Jorgen Strand Larsen in the attack against Sweden.
