Former Modesto Christian basketball player Porter gets two years in sex case

Former Modesto Christian High School and University of Kentucky basketball player Michael Porter last week received a two-year prison sentence following his conviction for engaging in sex acts with an underage girl.

Porter pled guilty to the charges in May. At Thursday’s sentencing he spoke to the Fayette County court and apologized for his actions, but his request for probation was denied.
