The Modesto USBC, the local bowling association, has hired Pam Marksman for the position of Association Manager.
She takes over from Ed Blomdahl, who was the first manager upon the merger of the two previous associations in 2005. Blomdahl resigned last October following the purchase of his own business.
Marksman has been serving in the interim spot until applications were reviewed. She brings much experience to the position, serving previously as the secretary of the Modesto Women's Bowling Association, and working in the bowling industry for nearly 35 years.
The association manager takes care of the day-to-day operation of the association, and answers to the Board of Directors led by President Jeff Chin. The office will be located at 3700 McHenry, and she can be reached by telephone at 571-2695.

The prize values are in no particular order, so the last prize spot may be one of the most valuable. Bowlers may enter and win a spot for every league session they bowl during the length of the tournament.
