Soccer teams reunited

They were 13-to-15-year-old boys, members of teams in the Modesto Youth Soccer Association, who were fortunate enough in 1980 to travel to Ireland for a special three-week trip of soccer competition.

Thirty-five years later, 24 members of that team – many returning from throughout the country – reunited Saturday at Grogan Park for some soccer fun and to rehash old memories.
