MODESTO MAGIC The Modesto Magic have opened sign-ups for their winter league through Jan 13, or until full. The league will be open to Boys, ages 4 to 4th grade, and Girls, ages 4 to eighth grade. CENTRAL VALLEY HORNETS The Central Valley Hornets are now accepting registration for girls youth winter league. The fall winter league begins January for girls in grade K-9. YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE The City of Turlock is be accepting registrations for the youth basketball league through Saturday for boys and girls from K-eighth grade. K-fourth grades will play at Pitman High School, fifth-eighth grades will play at Turlock High School. Activity begins on Jan. 6 with two weeks of skill and instruction play followed by six games. BAD TO THE BONZ Seventh Street Boxing Gym is holding tryouts and providing adult and youth classes. The Gym will also be holding sign-ups for the 2018 USA boxing team, must be a member of the gym to register. A boxing clinic for coaches will be given by Tony Avila, owner of Bad to the Bonz and former coach of Modesto PAL boxing club. The gym memberships are $125 per month, not including gloves.
