Michael M. Fuertes: Denham helped this veteran get tests he needed
I recently had to have some emergency tests done for a possibly serious eye problem. I dropped in at the veterans clinic on Oakdale Road and was told I had to have some tests done immediately at the hospital in Palo Also. My wife and I were worried about scheduling two tests in time for the follow-up visit one week away here in Modesto. A friend told me that Rep. Jeff Denham had a good reputation for working with veterans, so I dropped by his office. Denham’s staff was courteous, knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. My tests were scheduled for the next day.
Others sometimes criticize VA health services. As a Vietnam vet, I want the public to know I have no complaints. I want to also say that Rep. Denham’s reputation for going to bat for veterans is well deserved. I know he did it for me.
