Teresa Gregg: DJ’s story of assault at Turlock market doesn’t fly

Re “Drone flight in middle of fight at Turlock farmers market” (Page 3A, Aug. 17): I was at the Turlock Certified Farmers Market all day last Saturday and I saw no assault and battery, as stated by David “DJ” Fransen. The only assault that might have occurred was that of the accuser and his two friends, who had been hovering over the market all day. I observed one male across the street from the entrance counting the number of people who entered the market. I noticed him at 8:15 a.m. and he was still there at 12:15 p.m.

It was about that time the three descended on the market, taking pictures and videos with their cell phones in an aggressive manner. When “DJ” arrived with his drone and was flying it over the market walkway with pedestrians underfoot, the market manager approached him and, I assume, asked him to leave. He did just that, only to return with his friends to film the now empty market (it was 102 degrees outside and closing time). Shame on you “DJ” Fransen!
