Luella E. Cole: If you’re going to print false accusations, at least correct them

Re “Hillary’s hubby set up dangerous deal” (Letters, Aug. 21): I was surprised to see no editorial comment at the end of the letter. A simple check of Politifact: (www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/) would have revealed the “facts” put forth in that letter were false, another example of Donald Trump’s wild imagination and crooked campaigning. Bee editors, please take the responsibility of determining the accuracy of letter writers’ assertions and pointing out falsehoods before publishing them, rather than repeating lies and thus giving them more credence.
