David Laughlin: So many came to our aid as my wife lay injured on side of the road

To the sport-bike rider who went to the nearest house for help (because their was no cell service at the accident scene); the two gentlemen in the pickup who stopped and provided assistance and a pillow for my wife as she lay injured on the side of the road; the lady in the SUV who had OnStar and called 911; the Sheriff’s Deputy who calmed me down because I was so worried about my wife; the tall gentleman who helped hold the blanket over my wife’s face to keep the sun out of her eyes for 40 minutes.

To the paramedics from Oak Valley Hospital who were so professional and kind; the firefighters from CalFire and Waterford; the two CHP officers whose professionalism and kindness in taking me to the hospital where my wife was taken – all was greatly appreciated.

To the ER staff at Memorial Medical Center who took care of my wife. It’s nice to know that people still care and will stop to help when you need them most. Thank you to all of you! And God bless all of you.
