Roni Edgmon: Community Hospice is professional and caring from top to bottom

Re “Doctors blast management as they split with hospice” (Front page, Aug. 4): The heart and professionalism of Stanislaus Community Hospice is evident in every aspect of the organization, from top management throughout the entire organization. All are dedicated to the best service, the most compassionate care, the immediate availability of help at the most crucial times, and knowledgeable support and follow-through after service is completed.

I’ve had the privilege of seeing first-hand all that Community Hospice offers. Whether I’m visiting with patients and families in hospice care, actually participating in grief services after the death of my son, facilitating a grief group with children at their school, assisting at Camp Erin over summer, helping the volunteer Friends of Hospice raise funds or sitting on the CH Foundation Board, I have witnessed the amazing work of people in every level and service field.

This nonprofit organization turns no one away. In addition to the care offered patients during the most difficult of journeys, the professionalism and caring goes far beyond to offer grief counseling and support to anyone. Community Hospice is an amazing organization, led by truly qualified management and dedicated to our community. The testimonies of thousands attest to this fact.
