Roger Lochry: A very unpopular president will be elected, regardless

Article 12 of our Constitution states the president to be elected must have a majority of the electors of the states. If not, the House of Representatives makes the choice from the list of all the persons listed on the ballots with the highest votes. A voter who does not like either candidate, can vote for whomever is on the ballot. Which will mean their vote will be counted. If a person does not vote, the candidate they do not like gains in the majority. Think about it. Right now Trump and Hillary are at 47 percent and 43 percent in the polls. This happened with our second president when George Washington refused to run again.
