Raymond Newman Sr.: Legislators don’t like guns? Then disarm security details

Is this a great country or what? Our namby-pamby state legislature has just sent a bundle of bills to the governor restricting gun ownership by the citizens of California. Well, I have a great idea for them: If they are so intent on disarming the people of this state, except for the criminals who don’t pay attention to laws anyway, then I suggest they start with their security teams. After all, the folks who protect them are armed with the latest weapons, so let’s confiscate those weapons and declare the state a gun-free zone. Especially in the capitol building.

How about it, guys? Face up to the courage of your convictions, or not.

Raymond Newman Sr., Modesto
