Anna Bennett: Most people just want to move the homeless along, not help them
Homelessness has been going on for quite a few years now. There are people who are caring and who open their pocketbooks to help the poor. But one must recognize that there is a core element of people who just want homelessness to just move on down the road to somewhere elsewhere. Otherwise, there would have been a building constructed to house the homeless and give them a stipend to live on. It would provide enough space to get them off the streets until they could do better. To me it is the only merciful solution.
