Rose M. Nelson: Why would someone smash my windshield?
At about 1:30 p.m., a car drove down my street, turned around, turned the lights off and a person got out and smashed our car window with something like a baseball bat. I just can’t understand how anyone would find this kind of behavior fun.
My sister and I are on a fixed income and we don’t have extra money, and so the money to repair this damage will have to come from something that is in our budget, or we’ll have to save up for what it might cost. The back window was smashed and the car is full of glass. We have a deductible, so we can’t turn it into insurance. Last year our other car was parked out front and someone stole money that I had in my console, also my GPS. My late husband always told people that I get lost walking into the closet, so when I got my GPS I was really excited as I could go anywhere and not get lost.
I just hope that whoever did this reads my letter and understands how this is not fun for me and maybe give up this sport.
