David K. Ford: If media likes Hillary, then Trump must be right for the job
hen Barack Obama ran for president in ’08, (or was it ’06 since they start so early), I asked a black schoolteacher friend: “Whaddya think?” Her answer: “As much as I’d like to see a black president – this ain’t the guy.” Those were my thoughts exactly. He had never held a real job, had little experience and we knew little about him. He seemed to be carried along to victory by a star-struck media and white voter guilt.
Here we are again. I wouldn’t mind a female president, but Hillary “ain’t the gal.”
But she is the opposite of Obama: Lots of experience in government and nothing to show for it, except incompetence (Benghazi), lying (dodging “sniper-fire”), scandal (still-pending e-mail fiasco). One could go on. So all I can surmise is she’s a Dem and female, so let’s give her the job – never mind the baggage. The media loves her, including The Modesto Bee; your endorsement w as no surprise. But people are no longer putting up with nor trusting the misinformation spewed by the government/media complex, of which The Bee is part.
So I’m glad you recommended Hillary; more reason to put my X next to Donald Trump’s name.
