Daniel Bruce: Regard for family values not reflected in voting booth
Re “Time for ‘family values’ Congress to value families” (Opinions, Jan. 26): Very well said Modesto Bee. We are a backwards nation with incredible technology and know-how. The nation’s wealth is beyond compare and we are debilitated by ignorance, greed and self-servers. We are all tied into the problem with corporations, the stock market, pensions and stagnant standards of living. The rich get richer and many say, “Well, good for them.” And then go out and vote for someone who does not truly represent them but is influenced by their stance on, “American values.”
