Jack Heinsius: Try ‘Looking out for myself’ as a new motto for Modesto
Re “Modesto officials defend land deal against critics” (Page A1, Jan. 25): The Bee’s coverage of the courthouse land deal should make Modestans consider a new civic motto. How about taking a page from Citizen Gervasoni’s playbook and changing the “Water, Wealth, Contentment Health” to “Looking out for myself” or “That’s how the game was played”? Those would be good ones!
