Hector Del Real: Madueno hasn’t shown much ‘common sense’ yet
It’s no wonder that Virginia Madueno can’t seem to win an election. Gov. Jerry Brown appointed her to a commission. How does she represent herself as a representative of the governor? She says she opposes him on the twin tunnels. Now that can be done in an appropriate way. However, how does she do it?
She does it in a mail piece sent out of 25,000 people in which she claims she is a “Common Sense Democrat.” Is she saying Gov. Brown is not a “common-sense Democrat”?
Yes, it’s no wonder Virginia Madueno can’t seem to win, other than one special election in 2009 when the prior mayor abruptly left town.
