Leslie Trueb: Opportunity to help children around the world eat better

Once again the Central Valley community will have an opportunity to pack meals for starving kids around the world at next month’s “Feed My Starving Children” MobilePack Event. Four Covenant churches from Modesto, Patterson, Ripon and Hilmar are hosting this powerful experience, packing two shipping containers with over 544,000 meals on Feb. 19-21.

This food packing event is exciting and meaningful for people of all ages as we come together to address the global issue of hunger through raising money (just 22¢ a meal!) and actually packing the ingredients that feed hungry kids in over 70 countries. Each packing session lasts two hours and takes place in the Hilmar Covenant Church gymnasium, 20056 American Ave. Sign up online at fmsc.org or contact the church office at (209) 668-0400 for assistance, information or questions.
