Joshua Whitfield: Heath Flora will best represent us in the Assembly

I am very old-school in my thinking that elected officials should endorse candidates for office. The “play it safe” mentality deprives voters of verifying one’s true intentions and principles. The race for the 12th Assembly District is filled with good people. One, however, stands out for Waterford and our entire region. I am proud to endorse Heath Flora for the 12th Assembly District.

Heath was raised on the farm and has a full appreciation of the foundation of our regional economy: agriculture. He will work to protect our property rights and work toward more water storage for California. No stranger to public service, Heath has served as a volunteer firefighter for over 15 years. He has a strong small business background as well. He’s an executive with the Exact Corp. and runs his own agricultural equipment business.

While there are excellent candidate’s in the race to represent the 12th District in the state Assembly, I believe Heath Flora, with his unique blend of service and experience, is the person best qualified to represent the needs of my constituency, and our region as our next state assemblymember.

Joshua Whitfield, Waterford City Council Member
