Jim Bonetti: Trump will upset the evil applecart that Washington has become

So, Donald Trump wins and The Bee publishes more second-hand crap by Eliot Cohen (“The time has come for a third candidate,” May 5). He’s knowledgeable since he served in both Bush’s cabinets. He says Trump is an unfit candidate and says Hillary is less evil but he then spells out why she’s evil. Trashing Trump by Cohen, The Bee and big media are saying American voters are ignorant by supporting Trump. Well Bee, we have endured decades of the Washington cartel. Our representatives, of both parties, serve themselves and not the voting public. They talk tough when they campaign, but their talk becomes empty words.

Americans like what Trump says about our country and the way he says it. Media people trash him all day. You must be pretty nervous thinking he’ll dump your cozy situation with the Washington cartel, made up of Congress, lobbyists, the courts, the IRS, Wall Street, the president and the media.

I dislike the cavalier way Congress avoids important legislation, wastes precious time, gets outrageous salaries, works only 64 days a year, gets perks and golden pensions, then smiles when being bought by lobbyists while Americans must accept Obama’s crappy insurance or pay a fine! Yes, I’m mad as hell!
