Cheryl Ferguson: Prayer Day, like churches, forget to include prayers for animals

I am disappointed in National Prayer Day that occurred in Oakdale at the Biachi Community Center. I always find the same thing – the program did not include animals.

We share this world with many life forms. God loves all of His creation, not just the people. Animals have the most Christ-like love I have ever seen or felt; humans just don’t posess it. I find it shameful that churches are always excluding them. It keeps me from attending church because I am already disapppinted in the lack of respect. How is anything supposed to change or improve if we keep doing everything the same way?

Love is amazing and prayer is amazing and animals and people alike deserve love and prayer. I even asked one of the pastors to include them in the program and he dismissed me. Pathetic. Animals need to be adopted into loving homes. Wild animals need protection. God also loves all life throughout this world not just in America. So God bless the world, not just America.
