Elizabeth Provost: Time to reclaim our government from the politicians
Enough! This is still the USA! Since when are political parties more important than the will of the American people at the ballot box? Remember? We were the government of the people, by the people, and for the people. But now, if our big shot politicians don’t like how we vote, they find a way to sneak around the laws to make our voting moot. And if they still don’t get their way, they’ll try nullifying our voices by voting for the opposing party? They really are desperate!
What really needs to be done is to get rid of the super delegates, the delegates and the electoral college and allow each vote to count.
So, it’s really up to us, isn’t it? Let’s do something to take away the power of the politicians and return it to the people. What can we do? We can write our representatives and ask them to do what’s necessary to see that these needed changes are made. We are the people. Let’s make our voices heard.
