Frank Dickman Jr.: What has Denham done to keep jobs in America, halt illegal immigration?

This is an election year and the presidential candidates of both parties have brought many issues to light. Most of the issues deal with the actions, behavior and results of our federal elected officials. Words like corrupt, ineffective, incompetent and self-serving are often used; with our view from afar, they are hard to disagree with.

Our tax code is comprised of 74,000 pages. That is ridiculous and must be corrupt and self-serving. The national debt is $19 trillion and rising. Our all-important manufacturing jobs are fleeing the country at an alarming rate. Our trade imbalances are unsustainable. Is this due to NAFTA? Illegal immigration is swamping our public safety nets and forcing medical costs to rise terribly.

What has Rep. Jeff Denham done about any of these pressing issues? All he says is that he is “fighting” for this or that. How long must the “fight” go on before something of consequence happens? If you try to ask him his opinions and conclusions on these pressing issues he remains silent. Maybe he doesn’t even have an opinion. It is time he started justifying his existence in this important position!
