John Goold: Before you sign, understand what the law would do
For those of you who signed the travesty that is Proposition 47, did you understand at the time that you were going to allow robbers, carjackers, gang members, thieves and thousands of other experienced criminals to reduce their time in prison for any crime listed in the initiative?
How’s that for the “Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act?”
Next time you are inclined to ignorantly sign something at the supermarket, please make sure you understand what you’re signing. Then we can all feel safer.
