Bill McCarthy: Undocumented children cost too much; send them home

It is unreasonable that President Obama has broken the law in allowing sponsorships of illegal children to illegal adults. Last year 60,000 illegal children crossed the border; 20 percent went to legal residents, while 80 percent went to illegal adults. With each placement the cost of $20,000 to $50,000 is paid by taxpayers.

The difference is immigration sponsors must guarantee their charges will be no burden on taxpayers. As I understand it, all these children’s Sponsors are receiving significantly more taxpayer subsidy than normal. Illegals sponsors are getting much more than basic. Certainly it is better to send all the children home and save billions than to encourage more by keeping them here! We must repatriate these children! If their countries refuses them, we stop any and all foreign aide until they comply. U.S. taxpayers are not babysitters for children of neglectful parents beyond our borders!
