Linda Coit-Ayala: More room for animals, less for flying humans
In reference to two articles side by side in The Bee on April 8 in the Business section, Page 11A: I had to laugh out loud. First article: “Feds back strict animal rules for organic meat” proposing stricter rules for livestock and poultry to have enough space to lie down, turn around, stand up and fully stretch their limbs.
Second article: “Senate won’t stop airlines from shrinking seat sizes” further reducing size, width, padding and pitch, leg room and isle width.
I know I can’t lay an organic egg, but I’m certainly not chopped liver.
