Jerry Ogle: Utility, sewer bills have reached my limit – stop raising them
I pay too much for utilities. I used to pay $65 per month; now it is about two times that high. My sewer was around $8 per month; now it is almost four times that much and the sewer does not break down or use fuel. We pay more for utilities than the people in Sacramento pay.
I will not pay any higher bills on sewer, water or garbage. I am on Social Security; I have only had one raise in 10 years, so I am at my limit on what I can pay. Use the funds you don’t use fixing roads for the sewers. By the way, when a new house is built, the builder pays for the sewer lines – not us!
