Alison Cox Verissimo: Farmers market board deserves praise, thanks
As a mother, downtown business owner and former weekly customer, I would like to thank the all-volunteer Turlock Certified Farmers Market board of directors, led by President Elizabeth Claes, for demonstrating poise, grace, leadership and a commitment to detail under the most relentless of circumstances these last four months. The TCFM board worked tirelessly with the most virtuous of intentions: to continue our beloved, quaint, safe, local community market and to provide an outlet for our local farmers to share their bounty.
I know I speak for thousands when I say, thank you – we appreciate your devotion to the cause even under the most chaotic and futile of circumstances.
