Linda Meyer: If columnist doesn’t love America, he can always move
Re “Why should a Muslim love America?” (Page 11A, March 28): Columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. talks about the crimes of white people. There will always be crimes from people of all walks of life. People always talk about what happened 100 years ago. They bring up things that we had nothing to do with. Many horrible things happened in the past, but we have to move on.
Pitts said why tell your children to believe in a country that sometimes fails you? Well, you can go forward and try to make it better instead of writing about how horrible Americans are. If you don’t like America and its people, move to another country and see how you are treated. You probably wouldn’t be writing that article. Despite what you say, and in this country you have that right, there is no place better than America.
