Marilyn and Chuck Rowland: Don’t forget to take kids the Gallo Center
My husband and I regularly attend performances at the Gallo Center for the Arts. We are never disappointed with our choices. Recently we saw “Tao: 7 Samurai” and a few weeks ago we enjoyed “Band of the Royal Marines of the Scots Guards.” Both were well-attended and greatly appreciated by the audience. Getting a glimpse of other cultures through their performance arts is a treat for everyone.
It was clear that these were very much family shows, and we were disappointed to see so few children in the audience. These shows were not advertised as appropriate for children, but we believe they should have been. With only very limited music in the school curriculum these days, it is a shame that more parents with children weren’t there. We are grateful that so much wonderful variety is available at our Gallo Center.
