Jill Jones: Protest rights limited if Secret Service is on the scene
About demonstrations and protests: If done at political rallies, where the Secret Service is present for protection of candidates, this is a federal offense. This law has been on the books since it was signed by President Richard Nixon in 1971, making it a federal crime to trespass on grounds secured by the Secret Service.
About incendiary speeches: Barack Hussein Obama, June 13, 2008, in Philadelphia: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” Did he mean it? I doubt it. I doubt that Donald Trump meant what he said, too.
What socialism is: a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole; a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.
You and “your” candidate: When this election cycle is over, unless everyone who disagrees with your decision should be out of your life forever, you might just want to keep it civil. Making lifelong enemies and estranging family members over what is essentially a personal decision might not be the best choice you can make.
