Christine McLaughlin: Seeking support for Military Family Relief Act

I urge you to support Senate Bill 241, the “Military Family Relief Act of 2015,” introduced by Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont. This legislation would expedite the process through which the Department of Veterans Affairs provides survivor benefits, dependency and indemnity compensation-DIC, to the recently widowed spouses of service-connected disabled military veterans. The widows of our most-severely disabled military veterans can use your help now.

As a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, which represents all current and former Air Force members, I urge you to fully support S241, and request a response to this letter so that I may know where you stand on this matter.

Christine McLaughlin, Fresno
