Doug Farrow: Trump appeals to ‘folks’

Donald Trump: Enough said, but only if you have been listening!

If an opportunity is there, Trump will take a good look. As a businessman he donated to those he thought could help him in the long run. He helped them in the short run. Who better to see through Washington politicians (i.e., con men) than a consummate deal maker? However, he is up front about his pre-politics “politicking.” Deals! Lost some, won most. Would have won the Iran deal. Would have jeered the high speed rail. As a businessman, it is obvious to him how badly the country has been run. As a deal maker he is embarrassed and ashamed of what he sees.

Giving away America is a deal he cannot abide. His slogan is brilliant and sincere. His bombast is attention-getting. His opponents desperately stoop to name calling. Trump responds! The most disgusting behavior I have seen so far is from a jealous has-been failed candidate who should have beaten Barack Obama and is now trying to take down the hope of the GOP. Trump’s appeal is to the “folks” and he is drawing people away from the Democrats to a reasonable GOP. This is the best thing that could ever happen to California.
