David Ford: Trump’s confidence, pugnacity appeal to the public
You guys still don’t get it. Yes, Donld Trump’s not a politician – and that is refreshingly appealing when compared to our present situation, where the current President has only ever been a politician (and a lousy one.)
We, the public, are unimpressed by our “leaders,” and yes, we think anyone with a modicum of common sense could do a better job. And for The Bee to say the current entrenched politicans – Hillary Clinton, John Kasich, Marco Rubio, etc. – need to convince us they’ll do better – too late!
We are over these people. Trump is a breath of fresh air with his plain-spoken, in-your-face rhetoric. No more cowtowing to fake political correctness. You say “confidence counts,” and in the next paragraph state “Trump is brimming with confidence.” Exactly.
Accusing him of racist undertones is nonsensical, and you provide no examples. Voters know this year before the election is nothing but a circus, created and fueled by you guys, the media. You say Trump has no experience in compromise, that’s ridiculous! You don’t get where he is by not compromising with people. When he’s finally the President, he will be able to get serious about helping this country.
