Linda Meyer: Call murders what they are, ‘Islam terrorists’
Re “Why won’t Bee publish cartoons?” (Letters, Jan. 13): Kudos to the writer for confronting The Bee on not publishing the Charlie Hebdo cartoons. Actually The Bee has the right to publish what it wants. What I had a problem with was the editor’s note.
He said heinous acts committed were of a misguided Muslim sect. He sounded just like Obama. He can’t call these disgusting cutthroats what they are: Islam terrorists. The editor made it sound like this was a small group of little bad boys. These are murdering savages that are in every country. It’s about time the administration, and some newspapers, call them what they are: Islam terrorists, not a misguided sect. No guts, no glory editor. You have the right to publish this or not.
