Casey Roberts: Why weren’t Memorial workers allowed to take cut, stay?

Re “Memorial Medical Center cutting 96” (Page 1A, Feb. 25): I would like for there to be an investigation into why they are keeping the less senior per-diem staff while firing the senior staff with benefits without giving the seniors the option to go per diem? A few years ago they did this same thing, but Memorial gave the senior staff the option to take the pay cut. This time they are not. I find this act inexcusable, especially since Memorial already has set precedent. I hope The Bee will expose this.
