Theodore Yates: See yourself in the faces of the homeless

As I walk along the streets Modesto, the devastation of lives is so obvious that I can’t help but notice the trauma-ridden faces of homeless men, women and children aimlessly headed in a direction of complete destruction and dismay. When do we, as a community, stand up and rightfully be heard regarding a human being who has been undertaken by forces of evil or even a crumbling economy? No one is exempt from homelessness. The next time you see somebody you know who is homeless don’t be so quick to judge; that could be you someday.
