Sue Adams: Money for cyclists a frivolous waste
Our city council asked for a tax increase in November. The proposition was denied by the voters. Now the city council is spending $75,000 to have the Amgen bike riders stay in the DoubleTree. Is the council just irresponible? How can we, as a city, afford to spend this amount of money on hotel rooms for bike riders when they can’t afford the increase in police officers and firemen to protect us? We need to get rid of these people that waste our precious tax money in such frivolus ways.
