Efren Martinez: If you listen to Pope Francis, he did not attack Trump

Sadly, so many lost the message from Pope Francis. This is another example of people hearing but not listening. I believe he said, “a person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel. As far as what you said about whether I would advise to vote or not to vote, I am not going to get involved in that.”

If all you heard was an insult directed to Donald Trump, then you didn’t get the Pope’s message. Bridges instead of walls; friends in faith. Please remember that media can be another one of Lucifer’s tools and he will do anything to cloud your judgment against peace and love for one another, especially during this time of Lent. Let’s fallow our hearts in faith and try listening instead of just hearing. And remember, “the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”

Efren Martinez, Modesto
