Larry McElhaney: With this field of candidates, we’re sunk
The Democrat Party has a 69-year-old female and a 74-year-old male as candidates for president. The male is an admitted socialist and the female has a problem reaching younger females and wonders why. This is the weakest platform presented, maybe ever.
The Republican Party presents the voter revolt leader who cusses and curses his opponents at every opportunity. Also running is the governor of Ohio, who says his policies are left of Hillary’s, two Hispanic senators who may decide who is conservative or not, a black who could be the most popular given a fair chance by the media, and a Bush who, even with family help, cannot figure out what to do. The list is confusion at best.
The winner, no matter who it is, cannot provide us with a strong and popular president.
